Olma Road / Capron Road road and pavement Reported anonymously at 12:38, Tue 15 February 2022 The white lines marking the parking bays both on the road and pavement desperately need to be repainted. Also the white line painted over the previous yellow line has worn away across some driveway crossings. These need to be clearly marked in order to prevent unnecessary civil enforcement. Also it would be useful to create some kind of division in some of these bays, as residents from the surrounding area who continually hijack the parking here, sometimes abandon their vehicles in such a manner it prevents sensible use of parking by the residents who live here. For example, a large pick up truck parked across parking for two normal sized vehicles from 2 weeks before Christmas until 2 weeks into the new year! How is this acceptable in this day and age? Simple normal vehicle size white lines painted to denote correct use of bays would have discouraged such an action and inconvenience to others. On other occasions, owners of quite small vehicles from outside these two roads also abandon their cars with no consideration and leave sufficient space in front to allow another vehicle to squeeze in tightly but causing issues for driveway owners! The residents here are tired of explaining to these types of people and shouldn't have to if the bays were to be marked correctly. Thereafter, perhaps some kind of enforcement will discourage this type of behaviour... Please, can we have some much needed attention to our neighbourhood. I am of course happy to be contacted if further clarification should be required. Any residents who might be reading this, please, do your part and do as u am doing and speak up. Don't complain to each other. Make the report that is necessary, follow the correct procedure and improvements can be identified collectively. Thank you for your anticipated response and hopefully prompt action. MP
