Pedestrian crossing on Bedford Road, Sandy adjacent to Laburnum Road junction

Reported by Shaun Endersby at 10:58, Tue 8 November 2022

** URGENT ** My previous report no. 377836 was re-assigned to the "lighting team" (not a "crossing" issue apparently) and has been closed yesterday (07.11.22) at 5pm. However today (08.11.22) at 8am the pedestrian crossing lights are still not working. People wanting to cross (particularly children) are having to rely on the goodwill (and common sense) of drivers letting them cross, but as we all know, many people no longer have common sense and those drivers that do stop have to rely on others coming from the opposite direction also being courteous. My previous report stated...The crossing lights have been "fixed" this week, but have since stopped working again. There are still cones next to them, so maybe the repair is ongoing, but they need fixing for schoolchildren and those wanting to cross for the playpark.
