Dreadful road surface at the junction
Reported via Android in the Road Surface category anonymously at 14:47, Mon 1 February 2021
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 350512x.
Large area of road surface is appalling at the junction. When turning off onto Stewartby Way we have to slow right down and drive over it very carefully. This is going to cause damage to cars, especially older cars like mine.

Email recieved from resident:
The Stewartby Way/Ampthill Road junction is in the Central Beds Council area. That is why you cant report it on the Borough web site. The boundary is where the Stewartby sign is just east of the Quest Pit entrance.
I totally agree that this junction is in a really bad state and is getting worse and worse.
I have chased up its repair with Central Beds several times without any commitment to it being repaired properly. This is unacceptable.
I have copied in their Customer Services e-mail and the CBC Cllr for the junction.
I have also blind copied in a senior Central Beds Officer who I understand is responsible for repairing road and footpaths in CBC.State changed to: Open

Email from Councillor:
B530/Stewartby Way junction Im afraid to say that this junction is still in an absolutely disgusting state. The potholes are getting deeper and wider, and there are more of them now. Do we have a date for when this junction will be properly resurfaced ?State changed to: Open
