Very uneven paving slaps
Reported via desktop in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 19:59, Mon 1 February 2021
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 350549.
The footpath which runs between Englands Lane and Great Northern Road, in Dunstable is very uneven with raised paving slabs, making it quite dangerous, particularly for the elderly residents of Oak Close retirement homes. So much so that many people prefer to walk across the grass to meet up with the road narrowing outside the Grange, 112 Great Northern Rd because this is a safer place to cross the road, would be even safer if it was a proper pedestrian crossing. Ideally a new path should be constructed where people want to walk across the grass.

Well they did come along and replace a couple of slabs with tarmac at one end, but they didn't touch the worst ones at the other end. They did say though that a drop kerb is needed as someone came along Englands Lane on a mobility scooter, they had to go all the way around the green and along Great Northern Road to the road hump to get onto the pavement. A very dangerous maneuverer.
