  • Customer was under the impression this was being done on Friday 19th. There was concern that Billington Court may be missed as in FMS the pic doesn't click on Billington Court but the location was confimred in the notes as the drains are maintained by CBC.
It doesn't appear that the drains were done on Friday, customer would like to know whent hey are being done as concernes when it rains there is flooding due to the drains being blocked.
Can customer be contacted to discuss please

  • Good afternoon,

Please see below email thread. I have taken a phone call from Mr Sam Tonge today who is chasing a resolution to this report crn: 353258. He has previously been advised that the drain clearance would go ahead on 19th March and to date this has still not taken place. He doesn’t know of his location has been skipped altogether. He has brought to my attention that the area of concern is in Billington Court which is off of Billington road however the FMS mapping didn’t allow him t drop his pin here. The area in Billington Court in need of attention is directly outside of 19 and 21. There can sometimes be an issue with cars parking over the drains and he wonders of this is a factor in the delay to the inspection? He is happy to help assist by forewarning residents in advance of the inspection if he is able to find out when this is scheduled in.

He is concerned as the area has been highlighted as a flood risk and so he would like action taken at the earliest opportunity.

  • Customer email:
    Hi there,

Please can i ask for this to be investigated as soon as possible?

I was assured that this gully cleaning would take place in June - this is essential, given how our drains are blocked and our postcode is at risk of surface water flooding!

Email forwarded to area team as well.

    Customer called chasing update.
Concerns over the drains being cleared in Billington Court. When there are heavy/flash rain showers, does cause flooding to Billington court. Been requesting that the drains are unblocked since March. Was advised Leighton Buzzard was due to be done in June but still not heard anything.
    Customer would like this escalated.
Emailed Area team, PO and copied in highways Liaison

  • Customer called chasing an update on the drains in Billington Court.
Have advised him of latest update- the footpath is adopted by CBC but the road and the drains are not.

Customer is very unhappy as when this was first looked at back in March he was advised that the drains would be included in the gully cleaning schedule. Is not happy that this has taken this long to find out the road/drains are not maintained by us.
Emailed Highways Lliason and request a call back
