Parking causing damage to verge
Reported via desktop in the Verges category anonymously at 10:06, Tue 27 April 2021
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 355418x.
The verge opposite the properties is constantly being used as parking for non-residents and is illegal from my research. I also recall Central Bedfordshire Council highways department sending a letter to all residents requesting them to stop parking on the verge. Could you please review and advise what action Central Bedfordshire Council will do to stop the ongoing illegal parking?
The verge is starting to break up over the drain area near to the turning point towards and I fear the kerb and drain will collapse if cars do not cease from driving up and over the kerb. What action will be taken to mitigate against the potential collapse of the kerb and drain?
The grass that should be alongside the pavement is non-existent and the constant car parking has completely eroded the grass leaving bare mud. is there a plan to re-lay the grass and perhaps put in some form of wooden post to stop parking on the verge? If not, perhaps consideration could be made to making proper parking spaces rather than just leaving the area looking so uncared for?
