Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 356221.
Parking is rediculus, always bad but needs resident parking only as this has been highlighted by this year's fair. Road is a small cull we sac, a fire engine or ambulance would not get up it today , no where to turn round , cars parking on double yellow lines blocking drives & garage entrances. Over pathways, blocking them . All day . Please consider residents only parking for this road.

Thank you for contacting us with information relating to a Highways issue. We operate a holistic response to parking restriction requests, due to the need for a Traffic Regulation Order (which is a legal document) to implement new or revised restrictions. Please refer to the website and read our parking strategy before continuing further. Should you wish to proceed please demonstrate support from other residents and the ward councillor when requesting these restrictions by completing and submitting the application. Your application will then be reviewed, prioritised accordingly or included in a wider traffic management scheme for the area. http://www.centralbedfordshire.gov.uk/ transport/ request/ parking-restriction.aspx

Thank you for contacting us to request a parking restriction.
The issue of parking and how to deal with problems is often viewed differently and there may not be a simple answer to a problem, especially where demand outweighs available road space. Parking restrictions will only be introduced where there is a clear need, with priority given to those relating to road safety. Central Bedfordshire Council currently reviews new parking restriction requests on a holistic basis, taking the wider area into account. Reacting to one concern in an isolated area can potentially move the problem to another area.
You may wish to contact your local parish or town council in the first instance as they will need to support any request for further consideration to be given. Other factors considered when assessing requests are:
- accessibility
- the possibility of displacing the parking problem to another street
- how many people support or do not support the request.Where a request is confirmed and justified by Officers and there is enough local support, they may be included in a future consultation to make a change to the Traffic Regulation Orders for that area. The whole process can be quite lengthy, and it can take up to 18 months to introduce any new parking restrictions. Thank you once again for your feedback.
