As you can see, these poor trees are terribly overgrown. They probably need cutting down a bit as well, but our main concern is really the fact that a) it had become difficult to use the pavement (especially people with prams) and b) my husband and I cannot see the road when leaving our drive not can o other cars on the road see us coming out.

Email from resident;
Good morning Rebecca,
further to your email from 1.7.2021, we could not wait for any person to come and assess the tree in question. Our son has now almost been hit by a passing car on two occasions as he was trying to get out of our drive.
The problem is not the whole tree (referring to the nesting season here) but the overgrowing branches and leaves at the bottom of it. They make walking past the tree along the pavement awkward, especially for people with prams and buggies, and highly dangerous for cars traveling along the road at that spot.I took matters into my own hand yesterday after an elderly gentleman found it impossible to get past all the bottom branches on his mobility scooter.
I took photos of my work so you can see that there still needs professional work to be done to that poor tree. I used my old pair of secateurs. It does not look pretty but the main job is done now.
If your people could please come (27th July by the latest, as you suggested in your email to me) and assess what needs to be done to finish this neatly, that would be grand.
Photos to follow shortly.
