Cycle footpath between Silsoe & Gravenhurst along a6

Reported via mobile in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 09:34, Monday 21 June 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 358098.

Weeds (mostly nettles) are waist height and making footpath / cycle path impassable. I couldn’t run through the nettle hedge just prior to the gravenhurst turning and a cyclist in front of me came off his bike as the plants tangled in his wheel spokes. Beyond dangerous as on foot it’s not possible to walk on the A6 itself with vehicles speeding by at 60mph plus. Please cut immediately as it’s the only foot path between these villages. You couldn’t possibly take a buggy along there as a child would be stung to death by the nettles!
