Drainage issues

Reported via desktop in the Drains/Ditches Blocked category anonymously at 13:39, Tuesday 22 June 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 358213.

When it rains water flows down Saunders Piece and it builds up in garden of 14 Chestnut Close at the bottom of the road as it has no where to drain away. The water also bring dirt and debris into the property. The water has caused the garden gate to rot previously. Would it be possible for someone to come and have a look and consider adding another drain in to prevent this from happening

  • Thank you for contacting us with information relating to a Highways issue. We plan to inspect the site during the next instance of significant rainfall (that takes place during working hours) and decide on the best course of action.

Conways completed their job and stated the gullies from Chiltern Place to Cornwall Road were clear and running. If this problem persists we will need to carry out a wet inspection to identify where the water is travelling on the road and where it is coming from
