Station road corner of the leys and Windsor way

Reported via mobile in the Road markings and lining category anonymously at 16:45, Tue 22 June 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 358236.

Hard to get pictures they are actually blocking and parking within 10m of a turning I can add more pics but I have 2 small children and find it difficult getting out to get the photos

Iv been reporting this but they seam to think I’m moaning about my drive way being blocked this isn’t the case I’m trying to show that it’s dangerous to get out of the leys and Windsor way onto station road due to cars parking in this location clearly pictured

  • Thank you for contacting us in relation to parking in Langford. Highway officers have reviewed your report and have visited the site to identify whether there are any safety concerns related to current parking conditions. At the time of the visit, no parking issues were observed and we have concluded that no additional interventions are required at this time.

The issue of parking and how to deal with problems is often viewed differently and there may not be a simple answer to a problem, especially where demand outweighs available road space. Parking restrictions will only be introduced where there is a clear need, with priority given to those relating to road safety. It should be noted that reacting to a concern at one location can potentially move the problem to another road and this impact has to be accounted for in the decision making process.

You may wish to contact your local parish or town council to better understand their views on current conditions along this stretch of the road as they would need to support any request for any further consideration to be given in the future.
