Church Road, Stotfold

Reported via mobile in the Drains/Ditches Blocked category anonymously at 12:31, Wed 23 June 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 358272.

Dear Sirs,

The reason for the flooding is at least four completely blocked drain covers in the area of flooding. In the absence of rainwater it’s obvious that that gully will appear clear and running - perhaps it might be an idea for your inspectors to be issued with umbrellas and inspect the area when it’s actually raining. The same applies just around the corner in Regent Street. Hopefully your cleaning schedule (Stotfold isn’t listed on the copy you attached) includes unblocking the drain covers.
