Lack of attention to remove rubbish and dirt

Reported via desktop in the Fly Tipping category anonymously at 13:29, Friday 9 July 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later

Constant piles of black and pink plastic sacks behind railings High St. Sth. and Church St., and in alley on opposite side of the road and outside old Moores. Lack of care in looking after Middle Row and Ashton Square - weeds and cigarette butts left even though sub contractors walk along the area to empty the large bins. I am aware of the problems re permitted development but CBC need to adapt their methods of collection to meet circumstances. Behind railings High St. Sth. and West Street - considerable dirt etc. There needs to be consideration as to timing when the railings are removed and the new crossings are put in place..

  • Until proper arrangements have been made re refuse for flats above shops, this problem will continue! What arrangements are being made which are constructive for these domestic residences? It is also clear that there is total lack of attention to cleaning the edges of pavements where dirt, weeds and other detritus collects - around the railings at the cross roads and elsewhere in Middle Row and Ashton Square.
