Blocked drainage channel
Reported via iOS in the Drains/Ditches Blocked category anonymously at 19:15, Fri 9 July 2021
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 359032.
Flooding caused by blocked drainage bypass channel next to speed hump. Rainwater builds up on against the speed hump, floods are deep enough to soak pedestrians and garden walls. The bypass needs cleaning and a better designed bypass required to stop the constant blocking and flooding. Outside 78 great northern road (and similar issues at other speed humps along the road)

Please can you advise when the expected date of your ‘programme of works’ will fix this issue? What was found in the inspection? Merely clearing the channel has not been a long-term fix in the past. How will you ensure that this does not block again after a few weeks, as it did previously?
