Overgrown verges

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 359522.

Due to overgrown verges and hedges turning right is dangerous as you’re unable to see traffic in either direction. This is going to cause a serious accident which may result in someone being severely injured or even kill them.

    Maintenance work is planned for this area and the issue will be resolved as part of these works. The verges are cyclically cut by our Env. Services team, and the hedges are privately owned, we will inform the owner to solve the issue.

  • Customer called to back to chase for an update and would like to know when these planned works will commence and secondly how she can find out who owns these hedges?

  • Thank you for making a report, however Central Bedfordshire Council are not responsible for this matter. You can look on the Land Registry to determine who owns the hedge, also we will chase the work.
