A505 roadworks extremely dangerous

Reported via mobile in the Roadworks category anonymously at 10:46, Wed 21 July 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 359541.

The roadworks on the A505 at the Stanbridge Road/Billington Road turns where contractors are currently constructing a roundabout junction is very dangerous. Two-way traffic is directed onto the same side of the road with no contraflow dividers (posts attached to road or cones) or even any signage/temporary road markings warning of oncoming traffic/narrow lanes and directing.

Being a busy A-road near to industrial estates and farmland, large vehicles also straddle lanes.

Despite the 30mph speed limit, I believe the contractor company are breeching health and safety regulations with no measures in place.
