Inadequate surface water drainage
Reported via desktop in the Flooded Property category anonymously at 15:41, Thu 22 July 2021
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 359643x.
Currently any excess surface water has no where to drain off to apart from one tiny drain tucked away in a corner just shy of the camber in the road which is resulting in that drain effectively not being fit for purpose and effectively redundant. This inadequate road drainage to this part of White Horse Close has resulted in flooding to properties. Surface / Rain water tends to follow the curve and gradient of the road, unchallenged and cascades down into the Courtyard of The Barns. This happens every time there is rainfall which is more than just normal drizzle. Please can you look into installing a solution to eradicate this happening in the future.

Thank you for your Highways report.
We have inspected the area but were unable to find the issue you reported at the location provided in your report.
The gully in the corner seems to follow the camber but the gully within the courtyard for the Barns seems to be blocked, this is not maintained by CBC however.
We will inspect again during wet weather to observe your concerns but please provide photos if this does cause the issue again
Many thanks,
