Reported via desktop in the Road markings and lining category anonymously at 09:58, Wed 28 July 2021
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 359850.
'H Bar' is correctly positioned to advise no parking. However, the parking bay was wrapped around this which leads to motorists parking across a shared access driveway. Request removal of parking bay in front of dropped kerb and shared driveway in line with Rule 243 of the HWC.

Thank you for contacting us in relation to Hitchin Street in Biggleswade. We have inspected the parking bays along Hitchin Street and can confirm that it is common practice to mark out parking bays in an uninterupted manner. H bars should not be affected as they remain in place and act as a visible reminder that cars should not block access. Should any vehicles obstruct access, please contact the Police on the non-urgent number 101 who should be able to assist.
State changed to: No further action
