Hitchin Road, Valerian Way, Comfrey Road junction
Reported via desktop in the Road markings and lining category anonymously at 19:41, Wed 28 July 2021
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 359879.
This is the main entrance on to the Greenacre Estate. Parking on Valerian Way (junction Hitchin Road) to just pass junction with Comfrey Road approx 50mts. being the entrance to a large estate with a bus route and a school run. The road gets a large traffic flow. this is restricted by parked vehicles and takes the road down to one lane. The parked vehicles also restrict the vision trying to exit drives on the corners of Valerian Way and Comfrey Road.I have lived in this property for six and half and the problem is getting worse. Cars also park across drop kerbs, that should be for pedestrians to cross. I note that nearly all roads in Stotfold have double yellow lines even on minor roads. This will prevent congestion on this busy corner.
