Purcell Way, Shefford, at the junction with Clifton Road

Reported via desktop in the Lit Signs category anonymously at 15:10, Sunday 1 August 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 360006.

The illuminated bollard on the pedestrian refuge island has been snapped off, leaving just its raised base sticking up from the pedestrian refuge island. The bollard itself is crumpled and damaged and has been dumped on the grass verge on the corner of Purcell Way and Clifton Road. This is particularly dangerous because it is right on the corner where traffic turns into Purcell Way from Clifton Road. As this is a lit bollard I am also concerned about rain falling on the damaged electrics. I do not know how long this damage has been there.
