Broken kerb drain cover

Reported via desktop in the Surface cover category anonymously at 09:02, Tue 3 August 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 360073.

The gully also forms the edge of the footway. The cover has broken and it keeps being 'upended' causing a hazard to pedestrians and road users.

  • Thank you for your Highways report.
We have now inspected the defect and no planned repair is necessary at this stage. We have driven over the gully covers and none of which fall out, no cars sighted parked on kerbs in this location and no vehicles witnessed driving over the covers. If issue persists please take photos and attach to report for more clarity. Please be assured that we will continue to monitor and inspect the road in line with our established service plan.
