Left hand verge, on approach to canal bridge heading toward Heath and Reach.

Reported via desktop in the Hedges category anonymously at 13:15, Thursday 5 August 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 360204.

Overgrown hedgerow. Outer foliage has been cut back, but a solid branch mass has been left which overhangs the carriageway. This is on the approach to a a single track bridge with a blind summit, so majority of drivers keep well left to avoid the risk of a direct frontal collision. The solid branch mass is not evident to a driver, who reasonable expects the hedge to be reasonably pliable. I caught my wing mirror a couple of weeks ago, luckily it just folded back. The debris ringed indicates that another driver was not so lucky. Cost of a mirror is not insignificant.
