Bright Lamp

Reported via desktop in the Street Lights category anonymously at 13:22, Thursday 5 August 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 360206.

Lamp behind 5 Leayord Way is very bright The position of the street lamp is such that it is in direct line of my bedroom window, and even with blackout curtain lining, (which I recently purchased), the lamp is so bright that it disrupts sleep, and keeps me awake.

I took the below photo standing beneath my bedroom window, on my patio, on July 19th at 1am, and as you can see, my garden is lit up like it is daylight!

I have been reading about people in similar situations to me, whose councils have fitted shades to the lamps to ensure that the light is illuminating the pavement below, and not the house opposite- could this be done here please?
