Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 360215.
The pavement is in a terrible state with multiple slabs that have now settled at different Levels representing a large number of trip hazards to the public.
10 yards from this the Council have supposedly repaired an area of paving round the base of a lamp post. There was a tree there and the stump should have been ground down. Instead they have raised the slabs around it. This has made a bad situation much worse. It is a substantial trip hazard, as it is around the base of a light and casts shadows.

Hi Sharon,
You have recently been in contact with our Highways helpdesk regarding our recent meeting with Mr Watson and inspection of Cedars Close, Dunstable.
As Mr Watson was advised at the time of the meeting and inspection with myself and a member of the Area Team, the footpaths are in fairly good condition at the time of inspection and no defects were identified whilst we were on Cedars Close, which would require intervention or works to be carried out.
As for the entrance to the building itself, the footpath does not fall under CBC Highways responsibility and it was suggested that for ease of access to the building, to speak to the owners of the property to see whether you would be able to introduce any further measures or any repairs which may aid any resident with walking difficulties, and as such, preventing any trips or falls.
Unfortunately, I would not be able to call you outside of the hours you have stipulated as I work similar hours to yourself, but I am more than willing to catch up via email if this is suitable to yourself? I hope this has helped a little.
Kind regards,
Darren Foley
