On High Street next to Access Road outside Loch Fyne Restaurant

Reported via desktop in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 16:42, Thu 12 August 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 360466.

Please see attached photos, the concrete bollard to allow delivery vehicles in was moved and leaned against the School sign post and fell on my bike whilst I was stationary on the road causing extensive damage. There were no vehicles in the service area at the time so the concrete bollard should have been put back in its rightful place away from danger

  • Thank you for your Highways report.
We have now inspected the defect and no planned repair is necessary at this stage.

As we are unsure who has moved it due to multiple units recieving deliveries here, we are unable to take further action on this at the time as the bollard has been replaced upon inspection (Tues.) We will remind local residents of the need to replace this bollard after use and the safe storage of it while it is removed.

Thank you for reporting this matter,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways

State changed to: No further action
