Tree on corner

Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 17:30, Thursday 26 August 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 360898.

Tree is very over grown with masses of epicormic growth. Not only is this a hazard to pedestrians, but due to the on going parking issues on Park Leys, the size and thick low growth of the tree presents a blocked sight line for motorists. With vehicles parked on the outside of the bend, all traffic travelling round the bend to the right has to be on the Wrong side of the road to avoid hitting parked vehicles. This tree means you do this blind & unable to see what is coming around the bend in the opposite direction. With commuter traffic using Park Leys as a car park for the station increasing, unless the tree is reduced to a single stem with lifted canopy, there will be a head on collision there before long. The tree has been growing unchecked for some time.
