  • The above reference relates to some steps that have become dangerous outside no: 18 The Lane Tebworth.

I understand that the councils decision is to remove the steps.

The steps are in the middle of a long grass bank and give us access from the pavement to the road.

If they remove the steps this means we will have to carry loads, e.g. shopping to and from our cars either by walking up or down the road then back along the pavement to our houses, likewise when we collect our bins which the waste operatives always leave in the road. The grass bank is too high and steep to negotiate, the walk dow the road and back will make life difficult for the residents especially the pensioners.

Please reconsider your decision and replace the steps rather than removing them.

  • As per the other CRN that was raised regarding the removal of these steps, this is our only option as they can no longer be installed to todays safety specifications and as such, we have no option other than to remove.
