Barrier Fencing Taken Down

Reported via desktop in the Fences and Walls category anonymously at 11:18, Wednesday 1 September 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 361042.

The Owners of 44 Canterbury Road, Flitwick have taken down the fence that used to stop people falling or driving into the Flitwick river. This is illegal as they do not own the land. This is a hazzard as anyone can fall or drive into the river. The fence was the perimeter bounday barrier that stopped people crossing into Trafalagar Drive Estate and Canterbury Road Estate, this has become a security and saftey issue.

The public highway does not extend as far as the fence and I have checked the adoption record.

The land between this and the fence isn’t in CBC ownership and is owned by

FIELDEN HOMES LIMITED (Co. Regn. No. 05089650)of Spicer & Co, 5 Eleanors Cross, Dunstable LU6 1SU and of Great North Road, Chawston, Bedford MK44 3BE

State changed to: not the council's responsibility
