Reported via mobile in the Trees category anonymously at 09:10, Thursday 9 September 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 361312.

Urgent attention needed!!!!!

Splits opening up in trunk over the last week. Previously no splits

Concern for serious injury if it falls into carriageway at least 30’ + tall. All bark previously shedded so would presume it is diseased.

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
Our engineers have inspected the area and are satisfied that no further action is required at this time. Thisis a eucalyptus tree, the bark shedding is normal. The cracks are not new, I inspected this tree in January and have photos of them so I can track their movements. the do not go deeper than the first layer of bark, so do not indicate the tree is paritcularly hazardous.

    Many thanks,
