Purcell Way, Shefford, at the junction with Clifton Road

Reported via desktop in the Signs category anonymously at 14:01, Monday 13 September 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 361451.

Some time ago, you put a keep left arrow sign on the traffic island in Purcell Way as a (presumably temporary) replacement for the lit bollard that had been there previously. Roadworks were carried out on this stretch of road last week, and the people carrying out the work moved the arrow sign from the island into the carriageway to use as signage for the works. When they switched off the traffic lights and removed all the signs yesterday, they removed this arrow sign along with all their own signs, obviously believing it to be one of their signs. Please will you reinstate the keep left sign on the traffic island urgently, as without a sign it is very dangerous for pedestrians crossing the road and waiting on the island for traffic to pass.
