Overgrown verges blocking path and blocked drainage

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 361511.

Harlington Road, verge overgrown with weeds, nettles, making passing over the pavement difficult withoufnwalking on the road. Also, blocked drain resulting in water flowing down the Harlington Road hill when raining and wet.

  • The pavement is still over grown and now as there is no street lighting and dark at night it is very easy to walk straight into the waist/chest height obstruction.

  • Thank you for contacting us. Following your initial report, the drain clearence has been completed. We have asked for this to be passed to our waste team who deal with verge maintenance so you may wish to contact them to check on the status of this. Please log a new request for the streetlight as these will be allocate ddirectly to our street lighting team for investigation.
