Parking
Reported via iOS in the Road markings and lining category anonymously at 17:31, Wed 15 September 2021
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 361570.
I live at number 24 Steppingley road which is on the corner of Hilldean crescent there are yellow lines there but no one seems to bother about them the parents drop off there children and park wherever they want which means I can’t get in or out of my driveway. All so when it’s rubbish day the council waist truck can’t get thru. I would like to see double yellow lines or something to stop people parking so I can get in and out of my driveway and the bin lorry be able to get through.

Thank you for contacting us.
This issue does not come under the responsibility of our Highways Department.
This is a matter for the Parking Department, resident needs to call them and ask that they send a ticketing officer round, or add to their list of Roads to be monitored, also may consider a "H-Bar" for his drive entrance, however this is not legally enforcable, offenders will only be issued with a parking ticket if a ticketing officer is passing.
He may also contact the local School and advise of the issue, they may help, also regarding the Refuse Collection, this would be a matter for the Waste department, please advise the resident of this if they call back. If there people are parking on the bend/junction this can be reported to the Police as "dangerous parking".
Many thanks,
