All street lights out in Sandy View since 7th September

Reported via desktop in the Street Lights category anonymously at 09:59, Friday 17 September 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 361620.

I had originally reported this problem on 7th September (361271). We are fast approaching another weekend without any street lighting. Would it be possible to have a report on what is being done as this area is primarily elderly residents who are frightened by the lack of street lighting. Thank you.

  • Thank you for contacting us with information relating to a Highways issue. Our engineers have inspected and found a fault with the power supply which is owned and maintained by the electricity provider. We have requested that they investigate and make a repair (their target timescale is 28 days). We will continue to monitor this issue until it is resolved. Please contact us again after that time if the light is still out.
