Crossing Faded and Lights obsured
Reported via desktop in the Crossings category anonymously at 14:41, Thu 23 September 2021
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 361838.
I've almost been run over on this crossing a number of times. Each time someone has stopped to swear at me, they have said they didn't even see the crossing. It's very faded. Coming up the hill during the day its difficult to see the lights as its right next to a telegraph poll and on the other side its slightly obscured by overgrown foliage from a garden. I wonder if it could be repainted, and someone come and survrey the light positions?

Thank you for contacting Highways in relation to the crossing on Birds Hill.
The faded markings and overgrown vegetation are issues that our Area Maintenance Team can look in to, so I am passing this request on to them for investigation.
Many thanks,
Traffic Management Team
