Soak away drains

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 362574.

The soak away drains have been blocked for years at the top of our we asked many times to have them repaired our even just cleaned with the amount of building work going on along Arlesey Road they have got worst pleases please could these be fixed thank you

  • Email from resident stating that every time it rains this gully leads to the water backing up on to property and flooding. Is it possible to re visit this to see if anything can be done sooner

  • Email from resident stating that adjacent drains were cleared in the last night but the one in question was left. Resident would like the reassurance that this will still be cleared even though the team is no longer in the area

  • Location of the drains is on Arlesry Road on the left hand side just before you come to the entrance on the educaton facility and not the leisure centre.

  • They came round about 2 1/2 weeks ago and fixed drains no more the 5 mtrs from the one’s we have asked about for years. I emailed them directly and they apologised but still nothing has been done we thinking of stopping our council rate tax until they have fixed this outstanding problem

  • Still not fixed Central Beds Council are absolutely appalling they even sent engineers who cleaned the drains near us but not the one by our drive

  • Thank you for contacting us with information relating to a Highways issue. We have assessed this location and have established that there is an issue with the drainage system. We have instructed a drainage engineer to carry out a detailed investigation and to prioritise any necessary repairs for funding and our 5 year capital drainage programme.
