Drury Close

Reported via desktop in the Signs category anonymously at 09:34, Mon 1 November 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 363243.

Good morning.

I am investigated an initial complaint of a Transit Van being dumped on the grass area in Drury Close, Houghton Regis. I attended the location there was no Transit Van at the location but there is a small Mitsubishi 4x4 parked on the grass area which runs alongside 44 Drury Lane, Houghton Regis.

Whilst at the location a male arrived and said he would get it moved but when I returned the next day the Mitsubishi 4x4 was still in place. I have checked Land Registry and grass area in Drury Close, is CBC owned.

I did discuss this with some parking staff members at TT who advised they will have a look with a view to placing “Do Not Park on the Grass” signs at the location and if any vehicles are parked on the grass after the signs have been out up, enforcement can be taken.

Please can your review, to ensure the signs are put up and enforcement action taken as appropriate.

I have enclosed a photo of the vehicle in situ, which also shows the metal securing bracket for the wooden post has been damaged, to allow removal of the post so the vehicle to be moved on and off the grass area.
