Reported via desktop in the Trees category by Michael Snee at 10:45, Tue 16 November 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 363839.

As reported on 21st Oct 2021 - ref 362850 - foot path is so narrowed by an Oak Tree that the passage for Wheelchairs Manual and Motorised is completely restricted. Yesterday a Lady pushing a disabled child in a specialised wheelchair got quite distressed in trying to get through ! - perhaps the inspection of this area could be given priority ? - are you able to keep me updated as to any reports to this problem please. Kind regards Michael Snee

  • Thank you for submitting your Highways report.
We have inspected this area, and the tree is of high amenity and environmental value, but we accept the pavement is impeded. This area may need to be rethought from an access point of view rather than by the Tree Officer, since I cannot solve this problem without the drastic measure of felling the tree.

    Many thanks,
