House Lane/Stotfold Road

Reported via mobile in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 17:02, Thu 2 December 2021

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 364388.

Bollard removed, cars crossing footpath from shop to House Lane. A bollard was in the footpath outside the shop preventing vehicles from the car park accessing into House Lane. This had been missing for sometime now. Today i saw two cars come across the footpath from the shop to House Lane in the space of 3 minutes. This is not the first time I have seen. I was leaving the shop on another occasion going to House Lane when a car mounted the pavement from House Lane and cut through to the shop. This is an accident waiting to happen. Children use this route to and from school and I can see one of them being knocked over. Please can the bollard be reinstated before someone is hurt. I hasten to add the long awaited Post Office is opening there next week so even more people will be about.
