  • Thank you for your Highways report.
We have inspected the defect and carried out works to make the issue safe. Any further repairs that are needed will be completed in line with the timeframes set out in our maintenance plan.

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways

Thank you for your report. Please be aware that it is not the responsibility of CBC to clean up mud and mess caused by farmers and farming machinery. We have made the area safe by displaying signs alerting and warning residents of the muddy footway. I would advise seeking communication with the land owner to politely discuss cleaning arrangements after their vehicles have left the fields. Kind regards.

  • Signs and cones were put up, directing pedestrians into the road. No work carried out. Cones and some signs gone. Stolen? Path still muddy, defective on field side due to heavy vehicles crossing. One man, one broom, one shovel, would clear the mud.

  • No work was ever carried out. Rain and footfall has almost cleared it. Disappointing that no action was taken.
