Drains and flooding Tring Road onto The Avenue
Reported via desktop in the Surface water on Highway category anonymously at 17:22, Sun 2 January 2022
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 365301.
Along Tring Road leading down onto The Avenue, the council created a raised lip due to water flowing down onto The Avenue. This has not worked, such that when there is torrential rain, a large volume of rain water runs into The Avenue creating a flood. It is considered that in reality there are not enough drains to deal with the water. The residents of The Avenue have undertaken some additional drain works and installed 3 cubic meter of soak away crates to help with the situation, this has helped, but during a recent period of heavy rain The Avenue flooded. The excess water from Tring Road needs to be addressed.
