Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 366712.
I reported the pathways just before Christmas. My dad and other elderly residents who don’t have technology are to scared to go out incase they trip. A lady came out who spoke to me from the council and stated the WHOLE STREET, needed re doing and agreed with what I said . I was happy to see the works starting and was pleased this was getting sorted only to find that pathetic little sections are being replaced. Apparently you have finished but the road is still a trip hazard. How can this be justified? This isn’t going to help our older residents feel more confident going out or prevent trips as the path is still uneven? Please can you tell me why Appleby gardens and surrounding rounds have ALL been completed and we are left with an absolute bodge job! This problem is not fixed. The whole road needs doing I don’t understand how doing 2 paving slabs In tarmac is going to help this situation. I have had letters from residents asking me to complain about the current paths on their behalf as they are unable to use technology. We are a very close street and the thought that some long term residents who don’t have many family members can’t even feel confident to go for a walk down the road they have lived on for 40/50 years is a disgrace!!!
