Uneven pavements
Reported via mobile in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 18:58, Fri 4 February 2022
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 366848.
Continuation to the issue of uneven pavements in first Avenue already reported but changed to closed - i have further comments :
Thank you for your response but I am struggling to understand why it’s thought that all the areas that needed fixing have been resolved. Somebody at least should come back and check the work that has been done as some of it is not acceptable and also collect the cone they have left outside no 38 !
I am also struggling to understand why the pavements in the middle of the town have been widened using fairly expensive granite kerbstones might I add (widened enough to allow them to become glorified car parks as there are cars parked constantly on them … yet another separate issue that needs dealing with), yet there is not enough in a budget to resolve the issues around the Dunstable resident streets - those same residents that are paying council tax towards the upkeep of local services like roads/pavements/street lighting/rubbish collection etc. so forgive me if I feel we are just being fobbed off.
I await your further clarification on the budget and your revisit to the street to check your work and collect anything left behind.
