Olma Road / Capron Road junction
Reported via mobile in the Road Surface category anonymously at 12:13, Tue 15 February 2022
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 367268x.
Potholes previously reported by others still not repaired. The debris from the road surface on this corner has a bullet like effect when propelled by screeching tyres accelerating at speed in a drift like fashion. Apart from damage to neighbouring property, vehicles and pedestrians, how long should the problem be ignored before action takes place? Perhaps whilst considering the resolution some thought might be given to adjusting the material of the roadsurfaces to meet current traffic volume and also reduce the chances of further incidents pertaining to something that could be simply rectified. Can we at least repair the potholes in the interim whilst waiting for an assessment to be made for the whole roadsurfaces. Perhaps if more residents were to claim for the damage to their property and vehicles the issue would be regarded as quite serious! Thank you for your anticipated response and prompt action. Regards. MP

Photo shows temporary filled hole previously reported. Been filled several times but generally takes about a week to a fortnight before the cornering traffic dislodges the cold tar! Vehicles constantly turning ( lorries and vans) wreck this corner. It needs addressing on a more permanent scale.

In 2022 you raised a FixMyStreet request to Central Bedfordshire. We are contacting you to notify you that your report has been closed from our system. We have recently begun our partnership with a new Highways contractor and as a result we need to close previous cases that were outstanding with the previous contractor, this is part of an ongoing administrative process.
If the issue is outstanding and you believe it to be an emergency, such as exposed electrical wires, please contact us on 0300 300 8049.
If you see issues on the highways network, please continue to report these directly through FixMyStreet.
Many thanks,
