Updates

  • State changed to: Investigating

Updated by Central Bedfordshire Council at 19:56, Wednesday 23 February 2022

  • Thank you for making a report, however Central Bedfordshire Council are not responsible for this matter. As previously stated, the Council does not own this tree. Historic pruning by the Council was a mistake, we now believe that Developers shoud be managing their property and not leaving it to taxpayers' money to solve the issue. The owner is BELLCROSS COMPANY LIMITED of 50 Reginald Street, Luton, Beds.

    Many thanks,
    Central Bedfordshire Council Highways

  • Thank you for making a report, the map sent via email, is the same record that I can access. The boundary line for CBC's land clearly goes through the middle of the tree. Boundary features, such as this, are privately owned. They form a historic boundary planted by the landowned, as a 'fence'. This is commonly found across the county.

    Many thanks,
