This problem has been reported numerous times by myself and others. The problem is FAR more than "overgrown tree". The issue has been condemned by Police (as was reported) for providing perfect hiding from road for storage shed break-ins - actual and attempted have occurred on several occasions. On Health and Safety, Leylandii have gone over in storms very close to these before now and caused extensive damage. If the same happens to these trees - as is quite possible and increasingly probable as they get even bigger - the destruction of 28 and 30 Sheffield Close are near certain. The "birds nest" excuse for lack of action has flown away. Lack of action will only make the possible risk greater and the cost of solution increasingly expensive. Meantime the "hidey hole" provided under the trees continues to be used as a dumping ground and site for nefarious activities - or planning there-of.

The land in which these trees sit are not within CBC Highway ownership. Customer may need to contact Aragon/Grand Union Housing to resolve.
State changed to: not the council's responsibility
