The path is completely under water

Reported via desktop in the Surface water on Highway category anonymously at 18:27, Wednesday 16 March 2022

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 369247.

This problem has been going on for several years but recently due to building works on a local plot the road has been damaged and the soak away is blocked. Today the water is the highest it’s ever been the flats shown in the photo are occupied by vulnerable people who are going to find it very difficult to get out of their property due to the water level. Please, please help the street

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 18:31, Wednesday 13 April 2022

  • This problem will not be fixed until we experience heavy rainfall. Sadly the council have not looked at the site or inspected the drains as no doubt this would reveal the issue, which in turn would need fixing and cost them money. No doubt they will wait until it floods again.
