Between 51 and 53 Astwick Rd. Southbound side

Reported via desktop in the Drains/Ditches Blocked category anonymously at 11:56, Fri 18 March 2022

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 369363.

During the heavy rain on Wednesday 16 March the road surface flooded due to the mud in the gutter. There are no road drains in this area and there is no provision to drain rainwater into the ditch. The situation is made worse by regular heavy traffic accessing the large housing construction sites in Astwick road. These vehicles regularly drive off the road surface onto the soft verge and spread the resulting mud up and down the gutter. There is no curb this side of the road.
