Double yellows faded to nothing

Reported via desktop in the Road markings and lining category anonymously at 08:40, Friday 25 March 2022

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 369675.

You've "inspected the defect and no planned repair is necessary at this stage." May I ask what the point is of introducing a parking restriction then not enforcing it through correct road markings ? DoT guidance to local authorities, i.e. You, notes “The restrictions need to be made clear to motorists through appropriate and legal traffic signs and road markings.” Which clearly isn't the case here.

  • Thank you for your Highways report.
We have now inspected the defect and no planned repair is necessary at this stage. Please be assured that we will continue to monitor and inspect the road in line with our established service plan.
Hello, I have driven along Station Rd again today as well as yesterday and there were no cars parked illegally. I'll keep an eye out in the future. A traffic Warden request maybe an option if issues persist at certain times when the cars seem to parking in the area.
Thank you for reporting this matter,
