Dangerous collapse of road edge
Reported via desktop in the Road Surface category anonymously at 19:24, Mon 28 March 2022
Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council less than a minute later. Council ref: 369766.
On the east side of the carriageway the blacktop ends with a "cliff edge" of about 10cm to sunken mud. This is just past a bend heading southbound where vehicles are correcting their position in the highway with relation to oncoming traffic. At night this is especially dangerous as nearside wheels could easily leave the carriageway and the vehicle lose control as well as steering damage.
