Chapel close and Grange road

Reported via desktop in the Pavement and Cycle path category anonymously at 11:27, Tue 29 March 2022

Sent to Central Bedfordshire Council 1 minute later. Council ref: 369787.

The pavements, on both roads are very well used by people going to the Nisa shop and schoolchildren. I have lived here 34years and the pavements have never been refurbished except in odd patches of different materials. The pavements are very uneven and difficult to walk on without looking down all the time . About a fortnight ago yet another person fell smashing her glasses and badly bruising and cutting her face . Luckily a nearby builder brought her home to Chapel Close. These pavements have been unsafe for years.

  • Thank you for your Highways report.
Following you report we have carried out an inspection and raised an order to repair 2 sections of the footway and this will now been added to our programme of works.
If any particular areas are of concern (e.g outside specific house numbers) please raise these as seperate issues so they can be assessed individually.

    Many thanks,
